Todays Google Logo

Well i opened safari and there it was some weird thing in place of the google Logo. So i did a bit of digging and found out that today is alexander calders 113th B'Day. He is an american artist who invented mobile sculptures. ( It is a type of kinetic sculpture constructed to take advantage of the principle of equilibrium. It consists of a number of rods, from which weighted objects or further rods hang. The objects hanging from the rods balance each other, so that the rods remain more or less horizontal. Each rod hangs from only one string, which gives it freedom to rotate about the string. .... from Wikipedia...)

Boy with leukemia makes an iphone game.

Owain weinert, A nine year old with acute leukemia got his wish to develop an iphone game granted by the make-a-wish foundation. The game is called Allied star police. It also comes in an ipad version. "4th and battery" a seattle firm helped him develop the game. They say that the boy was like any other designer, he had a game design thought through to the last detail.

google+ initial view

google+

So Facebook is definitely gonna take a hit from google+ initially thanks to the circles and hangout features. But whats sad is google+ UI isn't impressive and needs a lot of tweaks. Circles are like mini networks within your social network... you can have separate circles for your personal and professional life.. Hangout lets you have video chats with your circle of friends....
Unless google revamps the UI facebook is gonna prevail at the end..

Lyf is just going on!!!!

yeah nothing much happened during these days except me, sai and RVG(my friends and team mates) winning the first prize in dumb charades during our college fest. Talking about the college fest well..... it was better than the previous ones but still lacked a small thing a proper auditorium. The makeshift stage sucked as always and was small... but then i did have a good time on the last day...lots of dancing and singing... so now lyf becomes very boring with exams rite around the corner..... so catchya later gotto study( i am joking obviously..... you really think i mean it???)

Swami Nityananda...

A dancing saint to a celebrity in a day. It is actually very easy to be popular for the wrong things. Because people are so determined to know what has happened. just imagine my professor was telling the class to download and watch a seminar on arm processor repeatedly but no one had time for that but beleive it or not just a few hours after the news about nityananda came out we had already watched the video despite the fact that we have no access to television and internet. This shows the determination that people have(including me).

Raichur

I volunteered to go to raichur for helping with the house construction going on, which is part of the flood relief package proposed by mata amritanantha mayi. Atleast this makes some sense rather than serving people who have come to get darshan of amma..

FALL IN LOVE TO GET A JOB*

*Conditions apply offer valid only if you fall in love with a girl who doesn't speak any regional languages that you do.

This is something i learnt from my life. Before i came to bangalore i was not even close to being good at conversing in english. But things turned around when i found "The Love of my Life". She is from Rajasthan and i don't speak hindi or any north indian languages and so as u all would have guessed now i resorted to english.... Now I can manage without much problems. if u can flirt in english then you can do anything maybe even become a Shakespeare:-) and you all know that communication skills is something very important for a job

Hit poker

I got my shoulders bulldozed by vinayak and arun gopal(My classmates),all thanks to the great sport called Hit poker. Its an ordinary 7 card poker but without any betting. once all the seven cards are on the table whoever has the best cards gets to hit the one with the worst cards. And it doesn't end here you can hit him anytime when he is least expecting it. Oh man , It's double the pain when you are not expecting it but it is double the fun!! ;-)

Science fest in college

Today we had a school level science fest in our college. There were many weird and interesting entries like " conductivity of urine". I see that as an eye opener to people who urinate on charged train tracks or near transformers. So next time you want to do it find a public toilet or else get your weeny fried. BEWARE!!!!

A nipple?????

A man reportedly bit off an officer’s nipple during a fight outside a Chicago bar on Monday night.

The Chicago Sun-Times says the man got into a physical confrontation with the off-duty officer and bit the officer’s nipple.

A doctor said the bite was so severe, the officer “lost a body part”, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

mobile throwing!!!!! Oh come on!!!

I bet half of you reading this didn't know that Mobile Throwing is a sport. You have a world championship for the event that is held in finland. The sport is mainly supported bye companies that recycle mobile phones. The prize for the event is a new mobile phone. And that's not the end.... there are mainly four categories
  • Traditional: an over-the-shoulder throw with the farthest distance winning
  • Freestyle: contestants get points for aesthetics and creative choreographics
  • Team original: up to three competitors have one throw each with their scores added together
  • Junior: for children aged 12 or younger
Now that..........is a sport!!!!

Eclipse viewing

I saw todays eclipse with my own eyes through an indigenous pinhole camera. Took me like 5 minutes to build it. i took a long plastic poster of krishna(the god) and rolled it into a cylindea. covered on end with aluminum foil and made a small pin hole in it. On the other end i put a tissue paper and taped it around the mouth of the cylinder. Then i pointed the aluminum end at the sun and i was able to see a miniature image of the sun partly covered and at around 1:40 i was able to observe the ring of light around the moon ....was an awesome sight.... i also made a video of the eclipse towards the end i will post the link after i upload

T.O.C.K

I know you must be wondering what that word means. Okay it is a great contribution from my friend Sai Barath. he came up with the idea to make the funny T.O.C.K sound with your tongue whenever someone cracks a poor joke.It seems to have spread on at least among us friends. He has even stared a community in orkut. So next time someone cracks a pj give out a TOCK,,,,

Remembering Praveen

Today we had a condolence meeting in college. We had organized a candle lighting ceremony in praveen's honor. Everyone turned up and prayed for his soul. Later we were discussing about our memories of praveen and soon we were all laughing and that's when we realized that all memories we had about him were on the lighter side and that's why he is a great loss.Even in the picture he was smiling as usual and wearing the classic "praveen shirt"(black with white stripes). I pray that his family copes well with his demise.

PRAVEEN
"Your memories shall sprout roots in my heart"

First tragedy in my life

I make this post with a very heavy heart.I lost one of my good friends and classmate to a road accident yesterday. Praveen was the kind of guy whose side, you never want to leave. A very jovial, funny guy. It is very difficult when you find out that the guy who was sitting in front of you the other day is no more with you in this world. they were going on a road trip to Mysore when tragedy struck. The others who were with him had a narrow escape, with some fractures.
He shall alway live in all our hearts.

Praveen we all are gonna miss you da....

ring a ring o roses-not so funny

yesterday i came across an article about plague. one particular fact got my attention. we all know the nursery rhyme "ring a ring o........all fell down".but did you know that the rhyme was about the "black deaths" that struck europe. the deaths were caused by plague. the ring of roses refer to the inflamed rose coloured ring of buboes(buboes-swelling in the armpit and groin). And "all fell down.."signifies the ghastly deaths of these people...........phew...who saw that coming!!!!

pandit ravi shankar

today our digital communication professor told us about pandit jii's concept of tuning his audience before his show. pandit had come two hours before the show's start but then he went into meditating and then went 15 minutes late. when asked why his reply was,"they were not tuned to listen to my ragas thats why i took time and tuned them". i don't know if all this tuning and all is a valid concept but if the story is true then there must be something true about it.

Uploaded a new video

i just finished uploading a video in you tube. must watch if u have a mac. it will help a lot with your download speed.

Awesome class

Today we had a placement and training class which was nothing less than an experience. oh yeah she made us sing the nursery rhyme,"old mcdonld had a farm ee i eei o...". she made us quack like a duck moo like a cow, woof like a dog and at the same time made us act the whole rhyme out. but it wasn't all just fun she did tell us the basics of how to present yourself in a group discussion, the body posture, how to address others and all. she took two mock sessions one on-"women are better managers than men" and "love marriage.is it better than arranged?". people should take classes, that are a whole lot of fun and not just dry and boring.

new year resolution

i have decided to blog regularly..yeah thats rite i will try to post as frequently as possible

I hate some ppl in my college these loosers think making fun of the lecturers is funny. i am not asking u to be a nerd even me and my frnds have loads of fun we might even disturb the class but still we dont bother our lecturers..these ppl are asses they think making fun of lecturers make them a hero.....hell no!!!! it doesnt work like that. u dont like a class? then sit in the class and do whatever u want just dont do things like asking doubts that are either stupid or obvious. Why did so many police officials die?

People do you know why our police forces suffered at the hands of the terrorists?? Bcoz of the government. Do you know that at the beginning our police force had to fight the terrorists with 303 Enfield rifles when the terrorists were having AK-47's!!! Just look at the following details i collected over the net.
Lee Enfield Rifle(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lee-Enfield)
20 aimed rounds per minute
detachable box magazine, holding 10 rounds in two columns
Effective range 550yrds
AK-47(http://kalashnikov.guns.ru/)
600 aimed rounds per minute
30 round detachable box type magazine also compatible 40 round box or 75 round drum magazines
killing range 1740yrds

what does this tell you?
Our heroes were given out-dated rifles to fight the latest weaponry that the terrorists were using.
Hemant Karkare was also carrying a 303 rifle when he went to face the terrorists fire.what a brave man he was!!!!
I posted this just because i wanted to point out how our government is responsible for the lives of so many brave officers.
Where is the money that we are paying the gov going?
Why can't i be safe in my country when i am paying for it?
It is just not right....

We Salute You!!!

As you all know it has been a very tragic 48hrs for all of INDIA. We were under attack by a new form of urban warfare to which our brave soldiers have reacted boldly and bravely. Lets first salute these Brave men who have put their life on the line for you and for me. I as an Indian respect them and honor them. I am proud of them. But I have got to tell this" i am ashamed to the very core for I come from a country which has such shameless and spineless politicians who have changed INDIA into a battle field". You politicians are the biggest terrorists i have seen. Please leave my country alone!!!!!
I conclude by once again thanking and saluting all the brave men from the NSG and para militrary forces for their selfless services to the country. YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!!!!!

guys you have got to read this

"*****, 50, used string to tie the Black & Decker power tool(chain saw) to a leg of a snooker table in his sitting room.

He then taped up the on button and plugged it into a timer, Winchester Coroner's Court was told.

Mr Phyall, who had had a small amount to drink but had not taken any drugs, then lay face up under the snooker table and put the chainsaw against his neck.

He used a piece of the tool's cardboard box to cushion the blades from his neck and then set the timer - usually used to turn lights on and off - to start up the chainsaw for 15 minutes.

When it started, it sliced three-quarters through his neck and into his right shoulder, only stopping when his T-shirt was dragged into the blades.

Mr Phyall's elderly parents, John and Jean Phyall, raised the alarm on July 5, when they could not get in touch with their son in his ground floor housing association flat in Bishopstoke.

Police were called and, after breaking in, Sergeant Mark Carter said he found Mr Phyall in his sitting room, with blood spattering the walls, floor and a cabinet.

"The electric chainsaw was embedded in his neck. The blade was approximately three quarters through his neck," he told the hearing."

People don't you think this guy is(Oh sorry!..'was') cool!!!! no wonder even IBM doesn't have such good innovators they just don't live to get employed!!....I know it's sad

le@rn this cool trick to make Browsing fun

Hai guys.... This post is only for those using mozilla
I just learnt this cool trick to make mozilla lightning fast

step 1:type "about:config" into the adress bar..hit the go button..it will take you to a page that shows a big list of keys

step 2:You would be able to see a filter on top of the page(filter is kind of a search) ...type in "network" in the filter

step3:now you will see a narrowed down list of keys in that find out "network.http.max-connections-per-server" double click on that and change the value to 50

step 4:now find out "network.http.pipelining" and double click on that to set it to true

step 5:change the value of "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to 50

step 6:"network.http.proxy.pipelining" double click on that to set it to true

step 7:close mozilla and reopen it and watch it do its thing!!!!!

have any doubts???? feel free to ask

Examzzz

It's been quite a long time since my last post.... now i am back in my house with my ECT Answer script which has a big "0" on it. Its so funny you know, guys who sit in back benches are scoring 80-90% while me,a stupid monkey, sitting in the front bench is getting big big zeros. Talking of exams i have to tell you about one of my room-mates.... This guy is a rare species of homosapiens, should be some descendent of einstein or something. The only thing this guy does on the day before exams is sleep.... we will all be studying so hard, thinking of how many zeros we are gonna get and this guy will be either listening to songs or snoring out aloud(just joking he doesnt snore).... But the most amazing thing is he gets better marks than any of us. so thats it for now bbye....

A Trip to KoOrG

It was the first time in 3yrs that i with my family went on a vacation and yes it was a very memorable one....Koorg(or kodagu) is arnd 250Km from Bangalore....my uncle aunt and couzin flew in to bangalore from tvm and we rented out a Tavera which first took us to gumbaz where tippu's relatives and brave generals were burried. on the way we stopped at a highway restaurant which served us small yet tasty masala dosas and kesari mmmm...tasty it still makes my mouth water. At gumbaz we got a glimpse of classic islamic architecture..... an hour at gumbaz and we were off to our next destination The Tibetan monastry in Bylakuppe, kushal nagar which is on the way to kodagu valley.... The Golden Temple is sure to make ur jaw drop down in awe....just c the pics yaar you feel that u are suddenly in tibet...you have Three gigantic idols covered with gold and pillars with golden dragons around them...man its "HUGEEE!!!"...The wall paintings are so good it will make u ponder whether its computer generated...from there its around an hour journey to koorg and we were starving already....Once we were in the resort we were all so damn hungry that we didn't even check-in at the reception and we flew into the restaurant and started gulping down whatever we could lay our hands on......after lunch we took a much needed rest....Then we were again on the road to abbey Falls...it was not so awe inspiring as the temple but still it was nice to see but on the way we got to see breath-taking sights of the valley...after some shopping we were again back in the resort having dinner....the next day morning we were out on the road again back to bangalore... i know we haven't enjoyed even 1% of wat u could have in Koorg but for me the road trip was a great experience and i am looking forward to revisiting Koorg but with bigger and better plans

Top Five Ways to annoy Your Room mates

**The Following were tried under uncontrolled environments and were found to be extremely successful. So please do try this on your roomie's**
  1. pour some aftershave on your roomies hair and light it on fire and if thats not enough demand money from him for the cool new hair cut.....(take my word people he will be annoyed)
  2. Use your roomie's toothbrush to brush off the dirt from your shoes
  3. Lock the room and leave when your roomie is taking a bath....let him stand in the freezing cold half naked with only a towel on him....
  4. sell his calculus text book to a peanut vendor in exchange for two rupees worth peanuts(tip:works best when done on the eve of ur math exam)
  5. call ur roomie's parents and tell them that he is adicted to drugs....

Preparing for another sem of suffering

Still 5 more days to go and i am already having nightmares about the mess food. I cant even think of swallowing the dry chapatis , the oil drenched pooris , and the round piece of cloth which they claim to be dosas. The people there are so dumb that they give us ice-creams and no spoons( i don't get it what do they expect us to do? lick the ice cream like dogs???). Even the fruits they give sucks...the bananas look like they were in the sauna for days(Seriously i have never seen bananas so lean). And the payasam which wont fall off the cup even if u hold the cup upside down!!!!. Then comes the rice its so sticky that you can glue an elephant to the wall using that. Oh almost forgot i am planning to buy a scuba diving kit....guess why??? they give us paneer curry U have to dive into it if u want to find at least one piece of paneer. "OH LORD WILL THERE BE ANY CHANCE OF ESCAPE FROM THIS WORLD OF HORRIBLE FOOD AT LEAST THIS SEM!!!!! AMEN"

INTRO

finally people get ready for viewing the dumpest blogs ever..... whatever i post here will be purely idiotic foolish and dump....so if there are any nerd's out there this a'int the place for u......any suggestions for improving the blog will find ample space in the college dumpster.....Read all these things under your own risk....by no ways is the author responsible for all the bull shit that u are gonna find here....
